Well, no worries, my friend, here are two quick and simple ways to make a pumpkin spice mix from your spice pantry staples.
Pumpkin Spice Recipes
Quick and Easy Pumpkin Spice Mix
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 Teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
Measure out the ingredients into a small bowl. Whisk, or blend with a small utensil until it looks fully combined.
Use immediately for any recipe that calls for pumpkin spice. Store extra in a small air-tight container and label with contents and date.
Flavorful Pumpkin Spice Mix
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 Teaspoons ground ginger
- 2 Teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1/2 Teaspoon ground cloves

Tips
- If you need a smaller or larger amount, simply decrease or increase the amounts proportionally.
- Optional: Use 1/2 teaspoon of allspice instead of cloves. I find the flavor less bitter, although the cloves give your spice mix a more traditional flavor.
- Make sure to use the freshest spices you can. Older spices will not be as flavorful and can sometimes become bitter.
