Have you ever wanted to bake up some pumpkin goodness then realized you were missing an essential ingredient: pumpkin spice?

Well, no worries, my friend, here are two quick and simple ways to make a pumpkin spice mix from your spice pantry staples.

Tips

  • If you need a smaller or larger amount, simply decrease or increase the amounts proportionally.
  • Optional: Use 1/2 teaspoon of allspice instead of cloves. I find the flavor less bitter, although the cloves give your spice mix a more traditional flavor.
  • Make sure to use the freshest spices you can. Older spices will not be as flavorful and can sometimes become bitter.
