Our Frugal Florida Homestead is all about setting you on your path to designing, then living your dream.
The Beginning of Our Journey
For 2 ½ years we started homesteading in the suburbs.
- We practiced growing and harvesting food.
- We ate that food fresh from the garden or preserved it by canning, drying, freezing, and fermenting.
- We learned how to build a shed and raised beds, use shade cloth in the garden, repair and restore older vehicles.
- We lived frugally and saved money to make a down payment on our next property.
And when we had achieved our goals, we moved to a rural property, and built a new homestead. We continue to live frugally with both our time and money to achieve our homesteading goals.
